Why does Clicky not find my TV?
Confirm both devices are on the same non-guest network and Local Network access is enabled. Keep the TV awake during scanning. Some routers isolate Wi-Fi clients from Ethernet clients; disable AP/client isolation if present. You can also use Add Device in Clicky to try a known IP address.
Why is pairing requested?
Samsung, LG, Sony, Android/Google TV, Fire TV, Vizio, and some Philips TVs require approval or an on-screen code. This is the TV platform’s security step. Accept the prompt on the TV and enter the code exactly as shown. Clicky stores valid credentials securely so it should not ask every time.
Why did my previously connected TV stop reconnecting?
The TV’s local IP address may have changed, the TV may be in deep sleep, or its pairing approval may have been revoked. Wake the TV, scan again, and select the matching device. If needed, forget the saved TV and pair once more.
Why does power or wake not work?
Many TVs expose standby rather than true power control. Power-on often requires Quick Start, Network Standby, Mobile TV On, Remote Start, or Wake-on-LAN in the TV settings. A hard-powered-off TV may disconnect its network adapter and become unreachable.
Why are some controls unavailable?
Clicky only enables controls supported by the connected platform and verified device capabilities. Feature availability can differ by brand, model year, firmware, region, and TV settings—even between two TVs from the same manufacturer.
How do keyboard and dictation work?
On supported connected TVs, focus a text field on the TV first. Type or dictate in Clicky, then send the text. Some TV platforms do not expose reliable text entry. Zesbe does not retain voice recordings or dictated transcripts.
Does Clicky support Hisense VIDAA or Apple TV?
Hisense Android/Google TV models can use Android TV pairing. Proprietary VIDAA TVs may be detected, but authenticated VIDAA control is not available in the current build. Apple restricts third-party Apple TV remote control, so use Apple’s Control Center remote.
How do I remove ads or restore a purchase?
Open More → Settings → Clicky Premium. Choose the available monthly or lifetime option, or select Restore Purchases. Purchases are tied to your Apple ID and processed by Apple.
How do I change privacy choices?
Open Clicky Settings and use Privacy Choices when that option is required and available. iOS permissions can be managed in the Settings app. See our Privacy Policy for details.
